The beginning of Ruimsig Mica!

Ground was broken at the Ruimsig Centre in January 2000, where many days were spent walking the foundations of our current store. Twelve months later our doors opened to our community and we began to “show them how”. The late and great Johan de Bruin, father and husband to the current owners of Ruimsig Mica grew the local hardware store on strengths that he felt were important to him and the community, these included but were not limited to: the best service and advice, making sure the sales staff got to know their customers’ names, ending a sale at the till – or even at the customers car and keeping high quality products. These values set the foundation for a store that was and is family orientated. Ruimsig Mica is proud to be a store that focuses on the customers’ needs and ensures the customer always walks out the store having experienced something that they wouldn’t experience at any other store. Ruimsig Mica proudly gives back to their community donating paint on a regular basis to community based sports and recreation halls. Ruimsig Mica often sponsors annual events like the Clearwater Run, which has grown over the past few years! The Ruimsig Mica family was always involved with ‘shop talk’ after hours – and really lived the brand values! These very values are what we still base Ruimsig Mica on, and in the present market – customer service, top quality products and other similar community based values are essential. Ruimsig Mica is proudly owned by Ryan de Bruin, Lauren Hattingh (brother and sister), and Glenda de Bruin (mother). The family are proudly running and growing the store in honour of their amazing father, husband and granddad – and this feeling of family can be felt as soon as you step through the Ruimsig Mica door! There is nothing better than a customer knowing that if they had to send an email it will come directly to the Ruimsig Mica family! This ensures our service is super speedy too! Ruimsig Mica is proud to have hands-on owners that make this business unique! Ruimsig Mica is proud to offer our customers the following services:

• We fill and swop gas bottles.
• We offer free delivery of gas and building material to any customers within a 5km radius of the store.
• Our specialist department is our paint! Spend some time with our paint consultant when deciding on what colours to choose for your home.
• We also have a key cutting section – keys cut while you wait!
